Herts Cubs Cyclocross 2018

The smell of bike oil ,sweat along with the sounds of cheers, tears and bike brakes once again graced the woods of Well End camp centre on Sunday the 7th of October for this year's hertfordshire cub scouts cyclocross 2018.

Among the 21 teams that took part from across the whole of Hertfordshire was a team from the group's Wolf cub pack.

The team consisting of: Shea, Sebastian, Kobi and Mathias took part in the day’s events that included a team cyclocross timed race "Through the Woods", an agility challenge and also a timed speed challenge.

Despite two of the team having never attempted such an event before, the team managed an impressive 8th place overall.

The packs akela who was present said "I was so impressed with the team, especially the two that have never done such an event . To take part was a great achievement, but to come 8th out of 21 just shows the effort and skill that our cubs have, but best of all was to see the fun that they had taking part"
