Scouts own London...for the day

18 scouts and 4 leaders took part in the Monopoly Run “Live” event on Saturday 3rd March. We participated alongside over 2000 other scouts, guides, explorers and leaders from around the country using London as a giant monopoly board. We fielded 3 teams and managed to get 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in our game, and 43rd overall out of over 300 teams. Not bad for a first attempt. We walked, ran and climbed over 14 miles on the day as we travelled around London buying up properties and generally having a great time.

Our accommodation for the weekend was the fantastic Lord Amory ship, docked at South Quay, Canary Wharf. The scouts loved sleeping on board this old Norwegian Pilot Cutter. We’ll be back next year with a tactical plan to improve our standings on this year.
