New Beaver leaders join in the fun

This term both Thumpers and Conkers Beaver colony welcomed new parent leaders to their group. Mark Fuller (aka Husky) and Pawel Kukulka (aka Polar Bear) joined Thumpers, and Gillian Williams (aka Snowy Owl) joined Conkers, returning to the group after being an Explorer herself many years ago.

As always we are delighted to welcome new leaders to our thriving and supportive Scouting Community here at Park Street. Previous scouting experience isn't necessary, all you need is the sense of fun, and plenty of energy that keeps the children in you groups enthusiastic and engaged.

Being a Scouting volunteer is a hugely rewarding and enjoyable experience, particularly within a group as successful as 1st Park Street in terms of the high level of parent and child engagement, the variety of activities on offer, and the support available from the Group Section Leader and the wider Scouting Community. It's wonderful to see so many parents join as leaders, bringing with them fresh ideas for activities varying from running science experiments, to fire station visits and cinema trips.

Our groups can only run with the help of our volunteer leaders, and so we're always looking for new leaders to get involved in any capacity they can. If you would like to join the fun with your child, do get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.
