Lights, Music, Action with Gang Show 2016
It's SHOW TIME with this years St Albans Gang Show 2016 rolling into town.
St Albans Gang Show will once again be showing off the wonderfull showbizz talents of some of the St Albans Scouting District's Scouts & Guides who are lucky enough to take to the Alban arena stage between 10th - 13th February.
Like previous years 1st Park Street have again had some talented young scouts and young leaders make it through the very tough selection process to end up as part of this years 125 member cast (from 11 to 25 years of age).
Once through the required auditions, these three scouts along with their other cast members have spent 5 months of rehearsals speeding over 150 hours learning lines and perfecting over 35 songs and different dance routines to reach the intensive few days of live shows including a second matinee performance on the Saturday.
However putting on such a show of the size, scale and complexity does mean that there is hue amounts going on back stage with over 18,000 items in the Gang Show wardrobe, 1000 metres of cabling, lighting rig that takes three days to progrmame, 30 tonnes of technical equipment to name just a few is all done by the great
work of over 120 volunteers. These volunteers spend as much time and effort as the people on stage such as the production crew, musicians, technical crew, wardrobe team, set builders, business team, security and many more.
The whole group would like to congratulate all our members that took part and say what a wonderful show you all helped to put on and that we can't wait to see you in next years.
