We shall remember them!

Remembrance day on Sunday 10th November was a poignant one, 2014 being the centenary of the start of World War 1. 1st Park Street Scout Group turned out in force to commemorate such a significant occasion, and pay their respects to the fallen at the St Stephen’s Parish Remembrance Day Service.

The group showed up in record numbers with members representing the Scout troop plus it's two Beaver Colonies and Cub Packs.

Gathered at the Park Street War Memorial, the sea of black and white flags was testament to the support shown by all group members as well as other local groups and members of the community, on such an important occasion.

Following the two minutes' silence, the group's poppy wreath was laid alongside others by two Cub members.

The group’s leaders would like to thank all the children for their exceptional behavior at this most solemn and important occasion.
