Thank you for the huge support for Active Kids

Our Scout Group has collected over 15,000 vouchers to spend on sports and games equipment thanks to support from customers at Sainsbury's donating their Active Kids vouchers.

Nearly 7,000 of these vouchers have been donated from families in the group through the collection box at the scout hut. But this year our Scout Leader John Drake also helped us collect a further 8689 vouchers by arranging for 1st Park Street Scouts to have a collection box at the Sainsbury's petrol station in Everard Way, St Albans.

The Group's leaders have been putting together a shopping list for new supplies that will allow us to provide even more fun activities that keep our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts active.

The Sainsbury's Active Kids scheme is a key part of our fund raising each year and allows us to get new sports equipment for free, freeing up the limited funds we have to be used elsewhere.

We know that parents are also under pressure to support schools and other clubs with active kids vouchers, so your contribution is greatly appreciated. Thanks to your help we're able to provide even more fun activities that young people across all the sections can enjoy."
