Park Street's young people lead prayers at St George's day service.

Park Street Scout Group was chosen to read prayers at the District St George's day service in St Albans abbey on Sunday 27 April Alfie Brown (beaver), Cameron Dunn (cub) and George Naseby (scout) all read prayers in the service, in front of the Mayor of St Albans, the District Commissioner, other scouting dignitaries and leaders and young people from all sections of Scout groups across the St Albans District. The annual St George's day service started with a parade through the city centre. Starting from the civic centre on St Peters Street the district groups parade to the Cathedral, each section bearing their flags.

This year's flag bearers for Park Street were Emily Martin representing our Beaver colonies, Tom Gregory and Caspar Gray for our cub packs and Josef Berryman on behalf of our Scouts. They had the important task of carrying the heavy flags during the parade and forming an arch of flags as the procession entered the abbey. Group Scout Leader, Niki Dunn said, "Thank you to everyone who gave their time to join in this important annual event - the young people, leaders and families who supported us. We are very proud of all the young people who took part in this year's parade and service. They set a great example for the Group and for scouting."
